Privacy Policy
Your answers stay with you.
This policy explains the little we receive, why, and how you stay in control.
Last updated 26 October 2026.
Stays on your device
- Your answers while you use the checker
- Your results and documents checklist
- Your print or PDF
What we receive
- Anonymous error reports when something breaks
- If you tap Allow: an anonymous summary of your answers and where you stopped
- Reports and ratings you choose to send
We never sell your data, never show advertising, and never ask for your name.
Who we are
The Edmilia Readiness Checker is a free tool from Edmilia, operated by Loopmerce LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA (“we”, “us”). We decide how the information described here is used. Contact: hello@edmilia.com.
Your answers
The checker runs in your browser. Your answers are kept in the page’s memory while it is open and are cleared when you close or reload the page, or tap Start again. They are not saved on your device and not put in the web address. We only receive a summary of them if you tap Allow, or if you choose to include them in a report.
What we collect
Error reports
If the checker breaks in your browser, it sends an anonymous technical report so we can fix it: the error message, the file and line where it happened, which screen and question you were on, your device type (phone, tablet or computer), browser and operating system family, and the checker version. Web addresses, email addresses and long numbers are removed from the message. It never contains your answers.
Usage statistics (only if you tap Allow)
If you tap Allow in the privacy question, we receive:
- a random number for your visit, so one check is counted once;
- when you start, and the question you were on if you leave before your results;
- when you reach your results: your answers to the multiple-choice questions (for example destination, degree level, nationality, school qualification, language, intake, money and documents), which you answered “Not sure”, the results shown, how long it took in broad ranges, and your device type.
This tells us which questions are confusing, which qualifications we should add and where students get stuck. It contains no name, email, address or free text. If you tap Don’t allow, none of this is sent.
Reports and ratings you send
If you send a report, we store what it is about, your message, the screen and question you were on, your device, browser and operating system family and, only if you tick the box, your answers. If you give an email address, we use it only to reply to you. If you tap “Was this helpful?”, we store your answer with your degree level and destination.
Technical data
Our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the service. To limit abuse, we turn your IP address into a salted code that cannot be turned back into the address. It is kept for a few hours at most.
Why, and on what basis
| Purpose | Information | Legal basis (EU/UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Fixing errors and keeping the checker working | Error reports, technical data | Our legitimate interest in a working, secure service |
| Improving questions and results | Usage statistics | Your consent (Allow). Withdraw any time. |
| Handling your report and replying | Reports, optional email | Your consent, given when you send it |
| Understanding whether the checker helps | Ratings | Your consent, given when you tap an answer |
We do not make decisions about you by automated means. The checker gives preparation guidance and has no effect on any application.
How long we keep it
- Usage statistics and ratings: up to two years.
- Error reports: up to one year.
- Reports, with any email you gave: up to one year, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
- Salted address codes used against abuse: a few hours.
Storage on your device
We use no cookies for visitors. We save one small entry in your browser’s storage to remember your answer to the privacy question, so we do not ask again. You can change it any time: .
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information and we do not share it with advertisers. The site and its database are hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.), which stores the data on our behalf under its data processing agreement. We may disclose information if the law requires it. Loopmerce LLC is based in the United States. Where your information is processed outside your country, we use the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights and choices
- Change your choice about usage statistics at any time with Privacy choices in the footer.
- Access or delete a report you sent by writing to hello@edmilia.com with its reference. We reply within one month.
- Complain to the data protection authority in your country if you are unhappy with our answer.
Usage statistics and error reports cannot be linked to you, so we cannot find them for a particular person.
Age
The checker is for people aged 16 or older. If you are younger, please do not send us reports with your email address.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on a server only we can access. The server accepts only the fields listed above and rejects anything else. No system is perfectly secure, so we collect as little as possible.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Questions or requests: hello@edmilia.com. See also our Terms of Use.
